Taming Frizz

Hi everyone!

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been buying a few too many beauty products lately. My hair is SO frizzy as it is naturally very curly, which means it gets dry and looks a bit like Mia Thermopolis pre- princess make over.

but worse.

I've been searching high and low for products that actually work with little or no success. Until recently, when I was browsing in Boots. Umberto Giannini is a brand exclusive to Boots (as far as i am aware anyway) and I've used a few products from some of their ranges before, but none of the products have stood out massively to me. However, I was very excited when I saw they were introducing a new 'Frizzi' range. The products were all on a 2 for £8 introductory offer, so I picked up the Intense Recovery Mask and the Frizz Off Blow Dry Cream to try out.

Sorry for the rubbish picture quality- I only have my phone at the moment!
I used the mask first because my hair was in desperate need of some TLC. I smoothed it on after shampooing and conditioning as normal. I wrapped my hair up in a towel for the mask to work and left it for about 10-15 minutes before washing it off.

It had a really nice thick consistency and smells really nice. It made my hair feel really soft and cared for, without making it feel sticky and full of product. I could really feel that the added Argan oil had worked!

Next I dried my hair off after using the blow dry cream. This was a similar consistency and smelt the same. It made my hair feel thicker and more rich and nourished. I just blow dried with a barrel brush to prevent any further frizz.

Once it was all done, I could really see the difference. My hair still had it's curl, and the frizz wasn't COMPLETELY eliminated, but I didn't expect magic so I wasn't disappointed. It was clear that it had made my hair less frizzy, so I was happy with these products.

I would purchase them again, but I'm still going to keep looking for my miracle product- let me know if you have any suggestions!

I would give them both about a 7 out of 10- the best products I've used so far, but I'm still convinced I can find better.

If you've used anymore products in this range I would love to hear what you thought.
Hope you enjoyed this post! If you did, don't forget to follow me on the various social media sites in the sidebar!
