Top 5- Boots Beauty Advent Calendar

So last Christmas (God it feels weird saying that!) I thought it was high time I invested in a beauty advent calendar. About 5 years later than everyone else I know, but I got there in the end! I went for the Boots one (simply because it was the cheapest) and was actually pretty happy with all the products I got.

But it would be tedious of me to blog about each individual product, so I've just selected a top 5 for you guys to ponder.

First up is a nail polish. This is Nails Inc Porchester Square. I'm a bit of a Nails Inc fan and I adore this colour. It's a lilac toned grey and applies so smoothly to the nail and goes with so many different things! I think it's a really great colour for winter and it doesn't peel off or chip easily- by far my favourite nail polish from the calendar!
RRP- £11.00

Next it's a scent. Nina by Nina Ricci is a perfume I have never smelt before. It was the first perfume I received in the calendar and it smells divine! It's very fresh and a little bit floral, it's not over powering and is perfect for the daytime. I'm so sad I've nearly used up my sample! I might have to see if I can snap up a gift set in the sales!
RRP- £28.50

Now it's a Balmi lip balm. I'm a bit of a lip balm fan and was really intrigued when I got this. It's quite big for a lip balm and once you open it it's like a big pyramid. It has a minty scent to it and applies really easily because of the shape. It really moisturizes my lips so it's the perfect thing for winter!
RRP- £4.99

Any Soap & Glory product is a complete win over for me, so this was inevitably going to make it into my top 5! I love S&G and always get my stash stocked up at Christmas when all the gift sets come out! I love the small size, I travel a fair bit so this will be perfect for an on the go shower gel I can just keep in my wash bag. Not to mention the beautiful scent !
RRP- £6.50

Finally, we've got the Vichy Idealia Life Serum. I'm not going to lie, I had never heard of Vichy until I received my sample! It seems to me like this is a bit like an illuminator. When I tried it out, it reminded me a lot of Girl Meets Pearl by Benefit, and if you've read my blog before you will know how much I love that! It just really livens up my skin and is great if my face is having a bit of a dull day.
RRP- £29.50

So that was my top 5- I loved all the products I got and thought the whole calendar was a bargain at just £30- I will definitely be purchasing another one this year!

Did you have a beauty advent calendar? What were your favourites?

I'll also leave you with this article from buzzfeed. I'm sure we can all relate to it!

Happy Saturday!
